Richard Stallman will speak on “A Free Digital Society” in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on 16 January 2014 at 11.30 am. The venue is Mascot Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram.
His lecture is being organised by Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) and Society for Promotion of Alternate Computing and Employment (SPACE). Stallman's lecture will mark the completion of 10 years of work by SPACE.

Govt. College of Teacher Education,Thycaud conducted a 5 day workshop on “ICT for Education” from Nov 20 - Nov 26, 2013 with support of SPACE.The program, was attended by fifteen women Teacher educators and Research Scholars from across Kerala.

"Maambu", A group of language enthusiasts who champion the use of Malayalam on the Internet, organised a one day seminar on  " Malayalam Computing: Challanges and Responsibilities", with the support of SPACE and Kerala Sasthra Sahithya Parishad at Parishad Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram on 12 October 2013. SPACE also conducted a free software installation fest at the venue.

Child Psychiatry update is a regular programme conducted every month by the Psychiatry Department of Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. Doctors, Medical students, other para medical professionals and students and parents of children treated in their department are updated on the latest news and developments in this field through this programme.

A half day session on HTML5 and Firefox OS App was held in the forenoon of September 28th for the 5th semester students of Central Polytechnic Trivandrum (CPT).
