SPACE and Curriculum Development Centre, Department of Education, University of Kerala together organised a workshop to review an e-learning module on adolescent education jointly developed by them. A review of this e-module was held on 30 November 2012 at Trivandrum Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram involving experts from State Resource Centre, SCERT, College of Teacher Education, Loyola College of Social Sciences, Kerala Women's Development Corporation, Research Students and NGOs.
The e-module titled "My Life-Making Choices, Finding Answers" follows the framework set by NCERT for high school children. The initiative undertaken by SPACE as part of creating free educational resources is targeted at adolescents to help them understand and cope with the changes brought it in by puberty and to provide them with practical guidance in matters such as protecting themselves from child abuse, drugs and unhealthy lifestyles.
The e-module has several interactive components, such as games, exercises and quizzes to pique the interest of young people. Based on the feedback received at the workshop, the module will be finalised before it is made available to the public.
