The prelaunch of "Ila", an independent portal developed by SPACE, Mediact and SOMS (School of Media Studies), will be held at Hotel Chaithram, Thiruvananthapuram, tomorrow.
Ila, conceived as an alternative medium for news and discussion will primarily feature articles and aggregated content of selected blogs. It offers civil society its rightful place in the media to build a broader perspective on issues, far removed from market influences.
The portal will be introduced to the members of the audience at the prelaunch scheduled for 10.30 am tomorrow. The session will also include a talk on the relevance of independent media portal by Sri C S Venkiteswaran.
