64 students selected by Community Agrobiodiversity Centre, Kalpatta received training in ICT tools during workshops held between 27 to 30 December 2012. For purposes of convenience, the participants were divided into two groups of 30 and 34 students based on their age.
Resource persons from SPACE gave training in GNU/Linux operating system environment, applications and open source ICT tools. The students were exceptionally fast learners. GIMP, Inkskape, free software tools for image editing were also introduced to senior students by SPACE trainers.
