A string of events jointly hosted by free software groups and programme partners will mark SPACE's Software Freedom Day celebrations this year. The events will be held on September 17, two days before the official worldwide celebrations.
Seminars, install fests, open movie film exhibition, cultural shows are among those planned at Ernakulam regional centre of SPACE. Indian Libre User Group -Cochin, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Indian Council of Social Welfare, Vocational Higher Secondary School, Irimpanam are among the partnering organisations.
Software Freedom Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of September to celebrate Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), to create public awareness on FOSS and to promote its use in all domains.
