Machine Learning with GNU/Linux Workshop

SPACE is forming a learning group on 'Machine Learning and Free Software', at which enthusiasts from the industry and educational institutions are participating. We are planning our first meeting on July 3rd. Prior to that we have planned a 2-day machine learning workshop for beginners on July 1st and 2nd.

The workshop will start on July 1st at 10:30 a.m. Anyone who is interested can participate. It mainly comprises 4 sessions:
     i. Introduction to ML, classification and regression
     ii. A sample classification/regression problem. Hands on
     iii. Introduction to Natural Language Processing, Challenges in Malayalam
     iv. Doing some examples in NLP

Instructions for attendees
1,Workshop attendees should have a basic knowledge of GNU/Linux operating systems  (Ubuntu, Mint, Debian etc).
2,Attendees should bring their own Laptops with any GNU/Linux-based OS installed. (If you don't have a Linux laptop, one will be provided on request)​
3,Every participant must register for the event. Registration form  will be closed on June 29th.

​Pre workshop: If someone is really interested in machine learning and is not familiar with GNU/Linux, we will provide you a Linux installation and basic training on June 30th (Thursday). You can bring your laptop for setting up Linux. This will also be at SPACE.​
